It was my birthday today, April 25th, and I wanted to share with you the wonderful present that I received from my amazing husband. First I need to tell you that we had a Costco pepperoni pizza for dinner. I can't think of a better way to celebrate my birthday than at home with the person I love the most. No worrying about restaurants, paying bills, leaving a tip, driving, etc. The pizza was DELICIOUS!! We have tons of it leftover, so we'll be eating it for a few days, but I'm fine with that! We're going to Sizzler on Monday night, they give you a free dinner the Monday after your birthday. With this economy, it's nice to get something for free! I'm excited about that, Sizzler is one of the nicer restaurants in this area :)
Anyway, I opened my present and here is what Jon gave me... That's right my friends, my husband bought me 61 spools of thread, specifically for my sewing machine that I got last Christmas! I was so excited to use it, that as soon as our dinner and movie were over, I started embroidering. Here is my very first embroidered (sp?) creation! Doesn't it look amazing?!?! I'm so excited to embroider more and more and more things!
To end my birthday off right, we decided to have some fun with the deer in our backyard. Here's the result of that:
We saw deer running away two houses down from us and our neighbors aren't very close. It was awesome! We'll be pulling out more firecrackers as the summer continues.
Thank you to all who wished me a Happy Birthday! It is nice to know that I am loved by so many wonderful people!
Oh how sad the deer are going to be traumatized for life.. I didn't know about the sizzler thing I should check that out. Glad you had a good birthday. The embroidery looks amazing way to go!
oh fun! what a great girft...and aren't those snazzy sewing machines neat-o? now you'll have to start embroidering EVERYTHING....we've got a great baby blanket that my mission president's wife made for collin with his name and date of birth embroidered on it....treasures! glad that you got to do just what you wanted on your b-day!
You guys are so funny. Your embroidery really is awesome! I'm glad you had a fun birthday. I like all that comes with going out to dinner because usually someone else is putting my kids to bed ;)
